Stetson assists tribes with water resources planning, quantification, and development services to support all aspects of water supply and water rights projects. We have been involved in some of the most high-profile and successful water quantification efforts in this century, including successful litigation of the Big Horn River Adjudication and the successfully negotiated Pyramid Lake water settlement. In addition to water right issues, Stetson also assists tribes in groundwater management planning, irrigation system design and planning, irrigation system rehabilitation and betterment, water storage and conveyance system planning, domestic water supply/system design and planning, municipal and industrial water delivery system planning and design, and wetland restoration.
Stetson provides full-service engineering, environmental planning, and consulting services to our tribal clients to better assist them in implementing projects. In addition to quantification of agricultural and nonagricultural water rights, Stetson provides surface water and groundwater hydrology, development of Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impacts Statements, assistance with National Environmental Policy Act compliance, technical and biological support for the protection and enhancement of fishery and wetland resources, and water quality compliance support. Stetson’s staff includes professional civil and agricultural engineers specializing in irrigation design, economic analysis, soils science, hydrology, and hydrogeology to serve our clients’ needs.
